Some things don't need to stay.
VENT is a small, free space to put a thought into words, send it into a quiet digital void, and watch it disappear. No conversation, no account, no saved journal. Just the act of letting something go.

How VENT works
Write
Type anything you want to get out of your head. There's no prompt you need to follow.
Send
Press send, or use Enter on a keyboard. Your words travel toward the animated black hole.
Gone
Once the animation finishes, VENT removes the message from its application state. There's no history to revisit.
02 / Your words
Privacy by not keeping things.
VENT is intentionally not a social network, chatbot, therapy service, or journal. It doesn't analyze what you write or send back a response. You choose what to type and when to release it.
- No accounts or sign-in
- No database of vent messages
- No saved drafts or vent history
- No vent text uploaded to VENT servers
- No AI analysis of what you write
Your draft and the moving text exist temporarily in the browser's memory. VENT clears them from its application state, but it cannot control what your keyboard, browser extensions, operating system, or device software may independently store or process. Avoid entering sensitive information on a device you don't trust.
03 / A few questions
The essentials
Is VENT anonymous?
You don't need to identify yourself or create an account. VENT doesn't intentionally collect or retain the text you enter, but your browser, network provider, and other services involved in loading a website may still process technical connection data. It isn't a guarantee of anonymity.
Does VENT remember my messages?
No. It doesn't have a vent history, database, or message export. After the send animation ends, the app removes that vent from its state. Unsent drafts are also intended to clear when you leave the page.
Does an AI read or reply to me?
No. VENT doesn't interpret, score, categorize, or respond to your text. It's deliberately a one-way interaction.
Is it a mental health service?
No. VENT is a simple creative interaction, not a clinical or emergency service. It's a place to release words, not a replacement for human support or professional care.
Who made VENT?
VENT is an independent product by Elijah Oliver Larsson, a product and interaction designer based in Malmö, Sweden.
No feed. No archive. No judgment.
Just a sentence, a small moment, and then nothing.
